Moving? Get These Referrals ASAP To Your Pet

When moving to a new area, there are many things you’ll have to learn, for example, where the best restaurants are or what shortcuts are worth taking. As soon as you move, it’s smart to compile a list of important numbers that you may not need right that second, but you’ll be happy you have them when the time comes.

Veterinarian

Your fur babies might be all up to date on their shots before you move, but it’s wise to go ahead and get recommendations for a pet clinic near Baltimore MD or your new town just in case something happens. There may be holes in your new fence that you’re unaware of or poisonous plants in your yard that could lead to injury to your pets. It’s best to be prepared.

Plumber

leaky sink is annoying, but you could probably live with it until you research a good plumber in your area. With a burst pipe or broken water heater, you’ll wish you already had the plumber’s number on speed dial. Especially if you’re moving into an older home that may have unseen corroded pipes, it’s important to have a plumber ready to go.

Pest Control

You won’t really know if you have raccoons or rats in your attic until you sleep a few nights in your new house and lie awake trying to convince yourself that scratching noise is just the wind.  The previous owners may have assured you that they had religiously kept up their quarterly treatments but ask them for the exterminator’s number anyway, just in case you need him to come out quickly.

A move to a new city can really be a fresh start, but that doesn’t mean that everything will go perfectly. Murphy’s Law states that if something can go wrong, it will. Your best bet is to be prepared.
